Being a Marshal/Marshalling - Marshals at Take Back the Night play a particular role at the event. Their purpose is multiple but our main goal as marshals is to create a sense of safety and keep up energy throughout the event. Marshals are usually placed during the March part of TBTN, in where they provide safety to marchers by walking outside of the march. Marshals provide a ‘buffer zone’ between traffic, people outside the march. They also provide their voices, keeping the energy up in the march, chanting, protesting and leading the group in this way. Marshall training on Tues. Sept. 10th at 6-8pm at 17 Phoebe St. To be a marshal contact: Karlene at 416 597 1171 x223
There will also be a mini marshal training on the night of the event at approximately 7:30pm at the event site.
